The students must submit the AIFS Study Abroad Scholarships application, the program application, official transcripts of all college records to date, the required application fee of $95, and academic reference.

You should know that completed scholarship and program application must be postmarked. Academic Year/Fall Quarter/Fall Semester must be postmarked by April 15. On the other hand, the application for Spring Quarter or Spring Semester must be postmarked by September 15. The students must meet the minimum requirements for the applied program. AIF Diversity Achievement Scholarship

AIFS is proud to offer special scholarships for high-achieving students from backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented in study abroad programs.

Fall Semester: $5,000 (up to 3 awards)
Spring Semester: $5,000 (up to 3 awards)
Eligibility: Applicants must show high academic achievement and/or participate in community service activities.

AIFS Green Ambassador Scholarship

AIFS Abroad cares about the environment and wants to help create a greener future. That’s why we offer the Green Ambassador Scholarship to students who are passionate about sustainability. To be eligible, you need to show that you have a high commitment to help the environment.

If you receive the scholarship, you will work with staff at your location to organize at least one event that promotes sustainability and climate awareness. You’ll also share your experience on AIFS social media through Instagram takeovers, blog posts, or other content. Submit your applications for the scholarship by these deadlines:

Fall Semester: April 15
Spring Semester: October 1
Summer: March 1

Overseas Ambassador Scholarship

For the Fall and Spring Semesters, AIFS offers up to 5 awards of $500 each. During the Summer, there are up to 2 awards of $500 each. These scholarships are for outstanding students from backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented in study abroad programs. Eligible students include those who are economically disadvantaged, racially or ethnically marginalized, first-generation college students, students with disabilities, students of faith, veterans, and adult students.

To apply, students must be willing to share their experiences abroad through blogs, pictures, and videos on social media at least once a week and provide a testimonial at the end of their program. These materials will be featured on AIFS social media channels and blog site. Students who are not graduating can join the Alumni Ambassador program to keep sharing their experiences with others. Application deadlines are March 1 for the Summer, April 15 for the Fall Semester, and October 1 for the Spring Semester. These scholarships apply to both study and intern abroad programs.
